The San Jose State Event Center On The Job Training

As a Sound and Lighting Technician Intern keeping up with the variety and technical nature of many of the events much of the training in this department is provided during an actual event. As a new technician I was assigned on a call with the express instruction to observe and learn how everything operates. I was given easy tasks to complete, while being instructed by more experienced technicians about other details. As a new technician I was allowed to repeat the training position on each type of event until I was comfortable enough to work on the event unassisted by supervisor.
